MONEY MATTERS AND FUNDRAISING/PLANNING EVENTS WORKSHOP
for all GROUP TRUSTEES, TREASURERS AND FUNDRAISERS

9.30 am - Registration and coffee

10.00 am - ‘Money MattersWorkshop, presented by Peter Dean and Matthew Cobble

This workshop will cover the following:

  • Responsibilities of all Trustees with regards to charity finance
  • Financial controls
  • Tools and methods to support financial planning
  • Managing reserves
  • Managing financial risks

12 noon - Lunch

1.00 pm - Fundraising Workshop presented by Sal Atkinson

This workshop will cover the following:

  • The fundamentals of fundraising
  • Time management and fundraising committees
  • Making the most of tax efficient schemes - gift-aid, payroll giving, legacies
  • Creating a Case for Support
  • Planning effective fundraising events
  • Search for grants and making successful applications

3.00 pm - Finish

Lunch will be provided. There is no charge for RDA South Region volunteers attending this training. Participants from other Regions will be charged £5 per head on the day to cover lunch, coffee, tea, etc.
