Caroline Dombrowski completes Brighton Half Marathon in aid of Mid Sussex RDA

For the last 10 years we have hired wonderful horses and ponies from Chestnuts Riding School in Pyecombe which is now becoming a livery yard. Fortunately, we’re able to stay there but to continue helping disabled riders we now need to buy our own animals.

On Sunday 27 February Caroline Dombrowski, a volunteer Coach with Mid Sussex Riding for the Disabled Association, ran the Brighton Half Marathon. Crossing the finish line in a time of 2h:17m:15s she was cheered home by volunteers from the group.

“We were so proud of Caroline for completing the half marathon” said Mid Sussex RDA Chair, Ruby Grimshaw. “Five of us were at the finish to congratulate her and present her with her medal.” Ruby went on to explain that the money raised by Caroline will go towards ‘Project Horse’ – the group’s plan to buy 2 new horses or ponies which are urgently needed to maintain the viability of the group.
