A message from Pauline Roestenburg, South East Region Chair
Dear South East Groups
I know how devastating the news of a second lockdown must be to you all and what a huge impact shutting your facilities will have on our groups, volunteers and of course all our riders. I am sure you will all agree, however, that it is incredibly important that we do our utmost to help in the fight against further spread of Covid-19. Although we had 11 riding groups restarted in the region many of you were working incredibly hard to get your centres, ponies and paperwork ready to reopen. This has not been in vain. Everyone appreciates the lengths groups have gone to and we will be able to pick up from where we left off when the lockdown is lifted.
Our ponies and horses of course still need to be fed and cared for and my thanks to those of you who will be carrying out those essential duties. Thank you too for keeping in touch with our riders whose worlds have been shattered by this virus and the prospect of another lockdown.
National Office will keep us all updated and we must keep in touch with each other. Don’t hesitate to contact me or any of the South East team if we can help in any way.
Do keep yourselves and your loved ones safe and we look forward to better days ahead when all this is over.
Pauline
